Tour of my Home Management Binder
I LOVE my Home Management Binder. It is my best friend, when it comes to running my home smoothly. If you don't know what a Home Management Binder is, or you would like very detailed information on how to make (and use) one you'll love, then click here.
Here is what the cover of my HMB looks like:

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. -Proverbs 31:27-28
Here is what the spine looks like:

And here you can see how thick my binder is, and you can see my tabs:

This is my zipper pocket, which holds a pen, hole puncher, stick on tabs, post-its, etc...

Here is the cover page:

To be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. -Titus 2:4b-5
Next, I have a print out of the Prairie Muffin Manifesto.
The Schedules Section

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. -Ecclesiastes 3:1
Here is my Master Schedule - the main brain of my HMB:

After my Master Schedule, I keep a page of my Afternoon Chores, which are tasks that I do each day during quiet time:

After my Afternoon Chores page, I keep my reading list for the year.
The Menus Section

Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread. -Proverbs 20:13
Here is my breakfast and lunch menu. We eat the same breakfasts and lunches for each certain day of the week. When we get tired of something, then we change it, and I make the changes to my Breakfast and Lunch Menu:

The next two pages are forms where I write in each week's dinner menu. I plan our dinners every Wednesday afternoon:

This week's dinners are the following:
Monday - Hamburger soup; Salad; Kombucha
Tuesday - Roasted chicken and veggies; Kombucha
Wednesday - Chicken soup and salad; Kombucha
Thursday - Salmon patties; Baked home fries; Steamed veggies; Kombucha
Friday - Beef and rice; Mashed potatoes; Steamed veggies; Kombucha
Saturday - Homemade pizza on wheat crusts; Salad; Kombucha
Sunday - Black bean soup; Baked potatoes; Salad; Kombucha
Here is my Master Grocery List. I just keep a list of things we commonly buy, and then each Wednesday, when I make out the week's grocery list, I look over my Master Grocery list, to help remind me of anything I may have forgotten to write in on my list:

After my Master Grocery list, I have a piece of notebook paper, where I wrote down some quick dinner ideas, for those days when I can't follow my supper menu, but need to make something quick. After that, I have a list of things that I need to stock up on. This list changes often, and is also handwritten.
The Cleaning Section

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. -Proverbs 31:27
Here is my Cleaning Page:

These two pages are my Laundry Schedule, and the Children's Chores page:

Here is my Projects Page. On this page, I just make a list of deep cleaning, organization, or other projects that need to be done around the house and yard. This list changes often:

After my projects page, I have a print out of my Operation Castle Clean article, which is here.
The Homeschool Section

Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. -Deuteronomy 11:18-19
In this section, I keep notes from homeschool books I read. I also keep a Course of Study page for each child. I print out my Course of Study pages from Donna Young's Course of Study Forms.
The Children's Section

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. -Proverbs 22:6
I used to keep child training articles in here, but since I don't reference them much anymore, and now I have some great books (see my right hand sidebar, under "Suggested Reading," I currently don't have any articles in this section.
This is the section where I keep the chart of our Table Activities:

The Budget Section

A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight. -Proverbs 11:1
In this section, I have a little zipper pocket, where we keep our bills, and I use Donna Young's Month on a Page Forms to write in the monthly budget.
The Other Section

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. -2 Timothy 2:15
I have a copy of each year of our family Christmas letters in this section, along with various family pictures, and odds 'n ends. When I find an interesting article online that I wish to print out, but it doesn’t go with any of my other HMB sections, then I put it into this section.
The Recipes Section

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. -Proverbs 31:27
I have this section organized inside 5 dividers. The dividers are named:
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Baking
Other
I don't keep all of my recipes in this section, just some. Other recipes are memorized, and others I just turn to in one of my cookbooks.

The People Section

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. -2 Timothy 4:2
This is where I keep my phone and address book. I use Donna Young forms for this as well.
I have alphabetical dividers, to keep this section organized:

The rest of my binder contains a notebook, some loose notebook paper, and extra page protectors:

I hope you enjoyed this tour. :-)
